Heritage with a modern twist
The Titsey Brewing Co. – a craft brewery situated on the 1000 year old Titsey Estate – was preparing to launch a selection of micro-brewed beers. But breaking into the saturated craft beer category presented a significant challenge.
We set out to create a brand identity that would stand apart in a market saturated with trendy designs that lack real substance. We identified an opportunity to bring a modern twist to the brand’s signature story. The brand marque represents a contemporary take on a traditional coat of arms, integrating a brewer’s chalice with iconography taken from the crests of the Titsey Estate’s two most prominent families. The pack design uses disruptive colour and angular forms to inject vibrancy into the pack, while also simplifying range navigation. The result is a brand identity and packaging design that captures the brand’s signature story in an unexpectedly modern way.
